I was approached about this logo by a good friend of mine who started the company. He unique mark that he could build his brand around for a long time.

This logo was a challenge. I wanted to come up with something that got out of the current trends, but would also last. After a ton of sketches, I landed on one of the most popular materials for building a home, a brick. It’s a great place to start for a couple of reasons; it  clearly conveys one of Oyster River Company’s primary functions, and also communicates strength and durability. The negative space of the letter forms create the holes in the brick, and the color was chosen to help reinforce the idea.
