Come and Take It Clothing Logo
Come and Take It Clothing started was a fun side project that featured a handful of shirt designs that all fit the Texas, slightly rebellious theme. I developed the logo out of this idea, combining the iconic Zavala Flag (the first flag of the republic) and the initials of the company. Adding the gritty texture helped to solidify the tone we were after, while still being easy enough to replicate at any given size.
We worked with a local printing company to screen the shirts, including custom tags, which was a first for them at the time. Come and Take It Clothing was featured one a couple of Dallas based clothing blogs, and had a front row both at Texas Teezilla. The custom koozies were a hit that day. We ultimately closed shop a few years ago, but it was great experience working with vendors and pushing content on social media. We very quickly learned the correlation between impressions and sales. It’s a tough business, though. I’d love to dive back in someday when I have a stockpile of designs.
